Just looking at the lineup of all the vendors in The Garage Food Hall makes me want to go back and visit again so I can try all the different options! Chandelier at Sundry and Vice, bar at the Bottleworks Hotel The Front Desk at the Bottleworks Hotel Lounge area in Sundry and Vice The Bottleworks Hotel Travis and I indulged in some fish and chips and ales from The Harbour. Think mall food court on steroids, the difference being the atmosphere is great and the food and drinks are delicious! Spencer noshed on a classic burger and fries from Clancy’s Hamburgers. It now houses a bustling marketplace of about 20 restaurant and drinking establishments. It was originally one of two of the Coca Cola Bottling Company’s garage buildings. Things get real competitive- I just want to say that I’m the reigning champion of our family right now. No special shoes are required to bowl, so don’t worry about sticking a pair of socks in your purse!. If it takes 3 balls to knock all 10 down, it is scored as 10 with no bonus. Knock all 10 pins down in 2 balls, it is a spare.
Another difference with Duckpin bowling is you get 3 chances per frame instead of 2. The pins are shorter, slightly thinner, and lighter, but because of the smaller ball it is much harder to get a strike. The pins are set up in the same way as 10 pin bowling. However, Duckpin bowling is played with a much smaller, lighter ball with no finger holes. What is Duckpin bowling, you ask? It is similar to 10 pin bowling most people are familiar with. Don’t worry if there is a wait, as there is plenty to do in the area to entertain yourself. Pins Mechanical works on a first come, first serve basis for the Duckpin bowling. Duckpin bowling, tons of pinball games, foosball, pingpong, and bocce ball are available to play. It truly is an entertainment mecca! With many tongue-in-cheek references to playing with balls, there is much to do here. Pins Mechanical Company is a great spot to go with friends or family for a night of fun and games.
